Covering virtually any sector and any organisation, this health and safety training course is designed to give managers the skills and knowledge they need to help them effectively manage health and safety within their workplace.
Who Should Attend?
This course is aimed at managers and supervisors with health and safety responsibilities, but is equally valid for directors, senior officers and health and safety officers in low risk organisations.
- The reasons for managing safely
- Understanding relevant responsibilities (the health and safety legal framework)
- Health and Safety Management Systems (including HSG65)
- Identifying hazards
- Assessing and controlling risks (risk assessment using the Health and Safety Executive's five steps to risk assessment approach)
- Monitoring, reviewing and auditing health and safety
- Incident and accident investigation
Each delegate will be issued with a workbook to assist them both during and after the course. This workbook will contain information, guidance and forms to assist supervisors and managers.
The course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills with the support of the course tutor.

All consultants hold professional membership of the chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
This course will be delivered over two days.
Delegates will be awarded a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course.
