Who is this Course For?
The course is aimed all employees who will be engaged in activities with an impact on the environment. It is useful for supervisors and managers as an introduction to environmental management.
This 1-day course will provide a sound introduction to environmental issues that organisations can have an impact upon. Many delegates then progress to the NEBOSH Environmental Certificate and the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma.
Key modules of the NEBOSH Award in Environmental Awareness course include:
- Foundations of environmental awareness
- The meaning of environment, habitat, ecosystems, and pollution
- The importance of sustainability
- Environmental management systems
- Principals of impact assessments
- Air, land and water pollution
- Environmental noise
- Waste and waste management
- Dealing with environmental emergencies
Examination and Certification
The course is assessed by a thirty minute, 20 question multiple-choice examination. Those who successfully complete the examination will receive the accredited NEBOSH Award in Environmental Awareness.

All course materials including handouts and assessments will be provided. Our environmental consultants are qualified and experienced professionals with a background in delivering engaging training. All consultants hold membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
