Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC)

Enhanced Learning Credits Approved Provider

As an approved Enhanced Learning Credits provider (Provider Number 6263), we are able to provide training to service personnel qualifying for the Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) scheme. With an entitlement of up to £2,000 a year for 3 years of training on selected courses, the Enhanced Learning Credits scheme will allow you to train or retrain during your service period or after you have resettled.

Enhanced Learning Credits funding is available for pursuit of higher level learning i.e. for courses that result in a nationally recognised qualification at Level Three or above on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Only Level 3 and above health and safety training courses are available through the Enhanced Learning Credits scheme (please see further down for a list of available courses). We have packaged up a series of options for ELC funded courses that provides delegates with highly discounted health and safety training.

The Enhanced Learning Credits scheme is provided to you under the following circumstances:

Lower tier ELC

This ELC is provided to service personnel, service leavers and ex-service personnel (within 10 years of leaving), who have been registered with the administration service for a minimum of 4 years, and up to but not including 8 years and over. This grant is typically valued at 80% of the value of the training course or a maximum input of £1,000 by the ELC admin service. You will be required to provide 20% of the input toward the course value, regardless of the value of the training course. The Enhanced Learning Credits admin service provides an input of 80% or to a maximum of £1,000 with the full balance payable by the delegate.

Higher tier ELC

The higher tier ELC is provided to service personnel, service leavers and ex-service personnel (within 10 years of leaving), who have been registered with the administration service for a minimum of 8 or more years. This grant is typically valued at 80% of the value of the training course or a maximum input of £2,000 by the Enhanced Learning Credits admin service. You will be required to provide 20% of the input toward the course value, regardless of the value of the training course. The Enhanced Learning Credits admin service provides an input of 80% or to a maximum of £2,000 with the full balance payable by the delegate.

    Need an Accredited Course?

Along with designing bespoke health and safety training programmes, we also run the accredited NEBOSH, IOSH and ConstructionSkills (CSkills) health and safety courses as open courses at selected venues across the UK, as well as in-house for those companies who have a number of employees requiring the training, as it will be much more cost effective than sending them all onto a scheduled open course.

For more information please call 0115 984 9940 to discuss the options or send us an online contact form. Alternatively, use the "Courses" menu at the top of the page to view the courses and qualifications for the various awarding bodies.
