  • Before the course


    Q. I have booked onto a course - what next?

    A. Our administration team will issue joining instructions as soon as possible - this will contain information such as venue details, start times, etc. For our health and safety NVQ programmes, an initial assessment will take place prior to the issue of the joining instructions.


    Q. What do I need to bring on my course?

    A. Just you! We will provide all your workbooks, study books and stationery along with tea, coffee and lunch. All of our training centres and venues have free parking except Glasgow Airport, where parking is available in the NCP car park at a specially negotiated rate of £2.50 per day.


    Q. Can we substitute a delegate or change our booking?

    A. We will try and accommodate changes to your booking as best as possible - please contact your account manager on
    +44 (0)115 984 9940 to discuss the specifics. Where delegates have been pre-registered with an awarding body we may have to charge an alteration fee.


    Q. How do we know that we can expect high standards?

    A. As one of the UK's leading health and safety training companies we are accredited by NEBOSH, IOSH, CSkills, City and Guilds, and the British Safety Council. We are also accredited to ISO9001:2008 for our quality management system and hold the Investors in People award. All of our health and safety consultants and trainers hold professional membership of their industry bodies, including the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), and Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). All of our health and safety trainers hold a recognised training certificate such as the PTLLS qualification.


    Q.How can we pay for our course?

    A. Payment can be made online through our secure payments provider, or by cheque. Different courses have different payment options which are indicated at the time of booking.


    Q.What happens if my course is cancelled?

    A. We strive to avoid cancelling any course - however sometimes circumstances such as adverse weather make this unavoidable. These circumstances are very limited and in all cases we will rebook you onto the next available course.

    Q. What if I can't make a day due to illness or other commitments?

    A. It depends on the course - as some accredited health and safety courses require full attendance. Give us a call on +44 (0)115 984 9940 and speak to one of our training advisors.



    After the course


    Q. How long do certificates take?

    A. This depends on the course. Our own course certificates are issued usually within 2 weeks, however some awarding bodies such as IOSH or NEBOSH can take longer. For example, NEBOSH issue exam results 10 weeks after the exam day, with certificates issued approximately 8 weeks later.


    Q. What if I have a complaint?

    A. We pride ourselves on offering the highest possible standards of training and consultancy, however we accept that on some occasions you may wish to give us feedback on where we have not met your expectations.     Q. I am not happy with my exam score - what can I do?
